Our client is an important player in the global logistics and e-commerce sectors and had previously purchased a DWS system to optimize its sorting operations. The system only scans codes and does not weigh items. However, in order to further improve efficiency, the US client requested the addition of four balance wheel sorting systems, which will be perfectly connected to the existing DWS equipment. It is expected that this enhancement will significantly increase sorting speed, reduce bottlenecks in the workflow, and further optimize the entire logistics chain.
In today's fast-paced global logistics and e-commerce industries, efficient sorting and delivery systems are essential to meet the growing demands of retailers and consumers. As an advanced sorting technology, the pendulum sorting line can optimize the sorting process, reduce manual operations, and improve overall productivity.
The balance wheel sorting system needs to meet the following key specifications to ensure compatibility with the customer's existing facilities:
Sorting speed: The system needs to support a sorting capacity of 2,500 packages/hour to meet the customer's operational needs.
Package weight: The system needs to handle packages weighing between 0.08kg and 5kg, ensuring that the system can adapt to a variety of package types.
Package size: The system should be able to efficiently handle packages ranging from 48cm x 36cm x 20cm to 30cm x 23cm x 4cm to meet the packaging needs of different products.
Interconnection with existing equipment: The newly added wheel sorting system must be compatible with the customer's existing DWS equipment to ensure smooth operation of the system without making major changes to the existing facilities.
The customer has previously purchased the DWS+ balance wheel sorting line (as shown below):
This order requires 4 additional balance wheels (including belts) to be connected to the above equipment, as shown in the blue part in the figure below:
The balance wheel sorting system provided by gosunm to customers meets the highest industry standards in terms of reliability, efficiency and ease of maintenance. The following are the main components and technical specifications of the system:
Balance wheel size: The size of each set of balance wheels is 550mm x 550mm, which is suitable for the size requirements of customer packages, ensuring that each package can be smoothly conveyed and accurately guided to the designated sorting channel.
Drive system: The sorting system is driven by a servo motor to ensure precise control and stable speed of the system. The specification of the drive unit is 1P/220V/50Hz and the power is 1kW. This power configuration ensures that the system can reach a sorting speed of 2500 packages/hour to meet the production needs of customers.
Frame material: The frame of the balance wheel sorting system adopts a powder-coated steel frame, which has extremely high durability and strength and can withstand long-term and high-intensity use. The powder coating not only provides anti-corrosion protection, but also prolongs the service life of the system and adapts to the harsh warehouse environment.
Support structure: The support structure of the system adopts a powder-coated hollow section, which has good structural strength while reducing the overall weight. The hollow structure design provides additional support to ensure smooth operation and reduced wear of the balance wheel and related components.
Compatibility with DWS system: The new balance wheel sorting system has been carefully designed to seamlessly integrate with customers' existing DWS systems. The DWS system is responsible for automatic size and weight measurement of parcels, and by introducing the balance wheel system, customers will be able to efficiently sort based on parcel size, weight and other criteria, thereby further improving sorting capabilities.
The introduction of the new system will bring significant advantages to customers' operations:
Increase sorting speed: With a sorting capacity of 2,500 packages per hour, customers can efficiently handle large numbers of packages, ensure shorter delivery cycles, and improve customer satisfaction.
Reduce labor costs: By automating the sorting process, customers can reduce their reliance on manual labor, reduce operating costs, and reduce the risk of human error.
Enhanced flexibility: The system is able to handle packages of various sizes and weights, has strong adaptability, and can cope with a variety of products and packaging types.
Seamless docking: The new swingwheel sorting system perfectly combines with the customer's existing DWS system to provide a complete set of efficient sorting and shipping solutions.
Adding four wheel sorting systems to the existing DWS system of a US customer will greatly enhance its sorting and delivery capabilities. By increasing sorting speed, improving package handling and reducing labor costs, the new system helps customers meet the growing demands of logistics and e-commerce. This upgrade not only improves the performance of the customer's existing facilities, but also provides strong support for their future operational development, ensuring that they continue to maintain their advantages in a highly competitive industry.
