Automated Parcel Sorting and Labeling Based on OCR Recognition of Barcode and Address Information.

This system simply means that the machine "reads" the information on the parcel and then automatically labels and sorts the parcels to the designated location.  

There are several main roles for OCR technology in parcel processing:

1.Identify parcel information: OCR can automatically identify the barcode, address, recipient name and other information on the parcel, replacing manual entry, improving efficiency and reducing errors.

2. Generate labels: According to the recognized information, the system can automatically generate the corresponding labels and print them out.

The whole process can be divided into the following steps:

2. Image Processing: Pre-process the image to remove noise, enhance contrast, etc. for better character recognition.

3. Character Recognition: OCR engine recognizes the text in the image and extracts useful information.

4. Data Processing: The recognized information is processed to generate the corresponding label data.

5. Label Printing: The printer prints out the label according to the label data.

6. parcel sorting: sorting equipment according to the label information, the parcel will be sent to the corresponding destination.
